The Department of Physiology and Biophysics have several cores the are a benefitial to department faculty, university investigators and members of the Cleveland scientific community. The Protein Biophysics and Structural Biology Core (PBSBC) provides instrumentation and technical service not available to most independent labs.
Likewise, the Mouse Physiological Phenotyping core (MPPC) provides a viriety of services to investigators who may not have access to veterinary clinical instrumentation or systems that help measure and characterize various aspects of small animal physiology.
Our Xenopus Oocyte Core provides materials to labs who wish to assay protein expression using electrophysiology assays.
Finally, the department provides to the department faculty, two cell culture facilities and a cell culture room dedicated to BSL2 Level cell culture with virus propagation.
